Licensed Mortgage Broker or Associate

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Licensed Mortgage Broker or Associate to join our leading Mortgage Brokerage in Vancouver, BC – Nest Mortgage!


We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to provide reliable, timely, efficient financing solutions to our borrowers. The full-time position entails working with a diverse group of lenders and borrowers at all levels. The individual will require independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. This role provides a wide variety of support services to the key Mortgage Broker. This role is a perfect fit for a candidate with 1 – 3 years of experience looking to build their career within the industry and provides an opportunity to work and thrive within a positive team environment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, a team player.



RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Depending on your experience and knowledge, your core responsibilities will be but not limited to;
  • Identifying mortgage leads, communicating the company’s services to prospective clients, and maintaining a good working relationship with existing and new contacts 
  • Communicating with borrowers and lenders throughout the mortgage cycle 
  • Overseeing the development of marketing literature based on the current mortgage landscape and lending guidelines 
  • Analyzing business opportunities and creating plans to maintain continuity, growth and execution of mortgage objectives 
  • Contributing to ongoing professional business development activities 
  • Providing a professional level of mortgage advisory and transactional services to clients 
  • Liaising regularly with industry professionals including developers, realtors, appraisers, lenders, and brokers 
  • Coordinating and managing daily, weekly and quarterly tasks 



WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 


  • 1 – 3 years of mortgage experience as an Associate, Underwriter, or Broker
  • Sub-Mortgage Broker License required/or successful candidate must pass mortgage broker exam and become licensed within 3 months of employment if not currently licensed 
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Office 365), and relevant industry technologies (Velocity, Filogix, Finmo, etc.) 
  • Ability to produce results independently while maintaining a positive team environment 
  • Amazing attention to detail with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to strategize and produce results 
  • Proven time-management skills while working under pressure 
  • Positive and professional attitude and demonstrating professionalism at all times 
  • Language skill: Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset (not required)
  • Proactive and takes initiative
